Gastronomic Routes

Some of the main attractions of Andalusia are its gastronomy and wines. In all our routes we will recommend the best restaurants and tapas bars to enjoy the products and typical dishes of each area, paired with the rich white and red wines that are made in the places we visit.

The Denominations of Origin: Jerez, Sierras de Málaga – Serranía de Ronda and Montilla-Moriles are all part of our routes and visits to wineries can be the ideal complement to any of our proposed routes. It is an excellent idea for a stop at a wine cellar to coincide with lunch time.

We like the most familiar, family-run wineries, where direct contact with those who work the vineyard and elaborate wines gives a personal touch to this experience. The best way to get to know a wine is to visit the winery where it is made, as no one better than its author can tell us the characteristics of each wine.

As it cannot be any other way, in each winery its wines are tasted accompanied by homemade tapas or a more complete lunch, we adapt to what our clients prefer.

You can also schedule more than one winery in a day or combine these visits with some of the small agricultural food industries that bring out the best flavours of what our environment provides. The goat and sheep cheeses, the traditional preserves, the sausages and the Iberian hams that are produced in Andalusia are just sample of our delicacies.

And all this with the common thread of our olive groves and Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Depending on the season we can see the mills in operation and the work in the countryside, or the facilities that some families have adapted to allow travellers get to know how the process of making our oil has evolved.

Our idea is to acquaint you with the way of life in the heart of Andalusia through its history and its gastronomic customs.

We can organize excursions focused on an in depth learning of the secrets of the elaboration of our agricultural food products, including more than one cheese factory, oil mill or winery in the same day.
